Yo yo yo, Chapter 3 is slated in for release next Monday. That's 30th January 2012. Not long to wait, and i'll let you know if this changes. Whoop whoop whoop! So, if you've got any questions, ask away.

The Impossible Quiz Book: Chapter 3 is completed, and will be released very soon... once I have a release date for it i'll post it on here. I've stripped it down a bit after Chapter 2, so expect the following:

- You'll be jumping from different eras in time! From the Stone-age, to World War II
- Catastrophes have been (mostly) scrapped. Seemed like too much effort for something that only a small handful of people will ever bother attempting.
- Originally, you were going to get a Lifebuoy and a Skip as your powerups in Chapter 3, but after realising that the Lifebuoy wasn't exactly great, i've decided a Fusestopper and a Skip will be more fun.
- It's probably not as good as Chapter 2, because lets face it... that was AWESOME haha!
- This is the last Impossible Quiz ever, and when you complete it you'll know you've finished it for good

Anyways, I'll keep you posted.

It's a lovely summers day. You are sitting in a grassy field with your book of Impossible Quiz answers, minding your own business, licking your unmentionables... then suddenly out of nowhere a fleet of blue, stinking alien bastards come along and kidnap you and your beautiful red book using some kind of arcade claw-machine-claw.

When I say "you", I actually mean "Chris". Those of you that finished Chapter 1 of the Impossible Quiz Book will know about the DREADFUL cliffhanger I left you with... well finally, after WAAAAY too long, I can finally announce that the video-game themed second chapter of the Impossible Quiz Book will be released on August 23rd 2010!

So we're handing it over to the Phlovomites for this chapter! Thrown in a cell aboard the Phlovomite mothership, things are not looking good for Chris. That is until a mysterious green creature named Norman in the cell next door points out a dusty old organiser thingy in the corner of your cell. Turns out it's a copy of "The Phlovomite's Guide to the Galaxy", a book which contains every piece of information every Phlovomite in the universe has and ever will know. So this just might be your ticket out of here... maybe

However, i'm a little disappointed because there appear to have been QUITE a few changes from what i've played of it. Not all good changes either:

- Most of the keyboard based (Frank Says etc...) questions have gone. Understandable really, with the touch screen.

- For some WEIRD reason, they changed the answer to question 22 from "Pink Clouds" to "Cotton Candy". What the hell. Cotton Candy is just the american name for Candy Floss, and therefore the question now is just stupid.

- Other questions which have mysteriously vanished (and i'm not sure why):
  - 27. The Search question with the bombs.
  - 42. Gingerneck's epic "Punch Pig Buster in the face" question is GONE!
  - 50. The Badly Drawn Dawg question is gone. Why, I have no idea.
  - 54. Put the ACTUAL mouse on here.
  - 56. Burnt Face Duck
  - 66. The Ponk!
  - 67. The 3rd Maze. (It was really hard, so I guess that's ok )
  - 76. AIDS question
  - 95. Ascending (Possibly because of the dead rabbit )
  - 97. Fried Eggs and Carrots
  - 99. Red Balloon question.
  - 100. Switching off the Universe
  - 110. Click the red square
  - 112. Feeding Chris
  - 114. Brushing Chris' Teeth

- The missing questions have been replaced by BRAND NEW ONES! But I didn't make any of them - they vary in quality from being excellent (The eskimo one is genius - made me laugh), but there are also a fair share of bad ones (either too easy, overly American or just... bad :/)

- The order of some of the questions has changed.

- They've added the most irritating screaming and cheering sound effects when you get to a new highest question. Seriously, they're horrible. They're not funny, and I actually cringed when I heard them. It's such an American thing to do

- Moron Marks - these were added to the first iPhone version too. They're basically CHECKPOINTS. I just don't like them. It's meant to be the IMPOSSIBLE quiz. Adding checkpoints to it removes 90% of the challenge.

But anyway, apart from that the guys at inXile have still done a really good job porting it. And it's still a great little portable version of the quiz to have in your pocket. But to me, the free Internet version will always be the definitive Impossible Quiz: [link]

Tomorrow night I shall be uploading a huuuuge piece of art I started way back in September last year. It's called Spatulons vs. Phlovomites and it's the 'sequel' to Phlovomites vs. Spatulons which I did in 2005:



It's the biggest piece of art i've ever done, and I must have put hundreds of hours into it. I'm pretty excited to get it finished, because I love how it's turned out (basically a million times better than Phlovomites vs. Spatulons ) This one takes place on the planet Phlovos - the Spatulons are invading, probably as revenge for the Phlovomite invasion in the original artwork. One of the most interesting things about it is how much the two characters have evolved over the years, gradually changing... evolving... without me actually intending to do it.

So, back in 2004 after looking through (and thoroughly enjoying!) one of my old Where's Wally books, I thought to myself "Wow, i'd love to try and do something like this! But with ALIENS! HAHAHAA." And so, I started scribbling ideas... I wanted the two races to be an almost complete contrast - one race had to be a horrible race of WAR BEASTS and the other had to be a rather stupid, docile looking alien with big fat lips. And so the Phlovomites and Spatulons were born... behold, my original designs for the two aliens:



BY GOD SIR, they look HORRIFIC. They look like the visual equivelant of a KICK UP THE ARSE. BLURRGH. I ARE VOMIT. So anyway, as the years have gone by, these designs have evlovled gradually into something much better looking in my opinion. The Phlovomite, not so much... but the Spatulon has changed immensely. Take a look at a spatulon from "P vs. S" compared to a Spatulon in "S vs. P":



As you can see the snout has become shorter, the chin-strap on the helmet has been thrown out the window (mainly because it was too fiddly to draw, and it always seemed out of place) and they're shorter with a pot-belly. Much more appealing to look at However, to be honest... one downside of the newer designs is that they've kinda lost the "RARRGH WAR BEAST" image a little. On to Phlovomites...



They've evolved much less, but there are still a few obvious changes. The main difference is the lack of nostrils. There came a point where I just stopped drawing the nostrils altogether... they just seemed to look better without them. More streamilined, i guess They also evolved a Jetpack, fairly recently. There was ONE phlovomite in the original picture with a jetpack (see if you can spot it ). I just thought, "If he can have one, why can't they all?" And so it happened. Also dropped the green warts - they didn't really do anything.

Well that's about it. Just thought it was pretty interesting... you may or may not feel the same way lolol So keep an eye out sometime tomorrow night (probably fairly late on GMT) for the new artwork. I've put so much effort into it... hope it was worth it

One last thing. Can people please, please, please stop asking about Chapter 2 of the IQB. It will be ready when it's ready... just forget about it for the time being, and i'll make an announcement when I have a date for it. Here's a screenshot to keep you busy until then:

I know things are a bit slooooow at the moment, but i'm still alive.

I've got two things in the works at the moment, both involving Phlovomites (and to a lesser degree, Spatulons). The first is a huge piece of artwork which is nearing completion and looks a little bit like this: [link]

I know some of you are really eager to play it, but just bear with me and it'll be done when it's done. It'll be amazing if I take my sweet time with it and get it COCK ON, trust me Better than a rushed half-arsed quiz, that's for sure! Lololol.

I've also got an idea for a new Flash movie rattling around in my head, which would be pretty AWESOME. But first things first.
