Went to see the Flaming Lips live at the Manchester Academy on Monday night in Manchester (duh!), and it was FOOKING AWESOME! Got in fairly early so we were pretty much right at the front. Came out with a huge grin on my face and a handful of souvinir confetti.

I'm uploading some video footage to YouTube as I type (I'm stealing the credit a little, as I didn't actually do the filming... I daren't get my iPhone out incase it got TRAMPLED ) We got some pretty awesome footage of the entire introduction, from them walking out, Wayne rolling around the crowd in his space bubble (and rolling right on top of us), and the first song, Race for the Prize.

AWESOME NIGHT WAS AWESOME. Highlights include Wayne singing while on the shoulders of a guy in a gorilla costume: [link] Hearing Pompeii am Goterdammerung live (it rocked), and the revelation that all the evil people in the world were sat up on the balcony.
